Standing Ovations was founded in 1997 by E.J. McKnight; loving father of 6, grandfather of 17, great grandfather of 6. and scholar with a Masters degree in Education and Masters degree in English Literature.
E.J. developed a wide range of unique and entertaining techniques to deliver his powerful and impactful experience. Providing seminars and training to schools, businesses, athletes, churches, civic groups, and individuals throughout the United States and abroad, including South America and Southeast Asia.

"I have been so blessed. I had great parents, a rich childhood, and big recurring dreams for myself, starting early in my youth.
My first dreams and goals included: Football, Travel and Magic. Despite my size and limited athletic ability, I attended University of Cincinnati on a football scholarship, and then even coached on the high school, college and professional levels. I have traveled extensively within the U.S. and abroad, and visited Ecuador and the Philippines 72 times, where I presented seminars and used the money to provide this country (that I have come to love), with medical care, renovation of homes, schools, churches, and college tuitions. I have also performed magic professionally all over the world for over 25 years now. Football, Travel, and Magic: all of my first and early dreams. All have been realized. All have come true.
I know with absolute certainty that I was only able to accomplish these dreams because I kept them alive in my heart.
I worked many part time jobs before my life eventually rested in education. I have taught senior English for most of my 30+ years as a teacher. I have always felt that seniors are the “closest things to real people,” and it’s been my pleasure to motivate youngsters in the classroom and on the athletic field, sending them out into the world with hopes and dreams of their own.
I started three successful companies with little or no startup capital and have a solid understanding of the corporate world and business. But more than anything, I know people! I know how they think and what “makes them tick.” I have assisted hundreds of groups, businesses, and individuals in solving their problems and enhancing their lives.
My life today moves in many directions. I am a father of six, grandfather of 17, a humanitarian, businessman, coach, teacher, motivational speaker, professional magician, athlete, missionary, and published author.
I am the owner and president of Standing Ovations, a very unique success training and motivational seminar company, serving every facet of society and the business community. I like variety and have been described as a “100 watt bulb in a 60 watt socket,” thus my company offers a wide range of specifically tailored seminars to meet each and every need. While I am loud, boisterous, and know how to have a dynamite time, I never lose my focus, imparting every valuable nugget of essential information I can to achieve the desired outcome..
